Prestige Yacht Charter LLP
A unique opportunity has arisen to acquire an established motor yacht charter business operating as a limited liability partnership with a track record of charter income mainly, but not exclusively, within the Solent area. Prestige Yacht Charter LLP owns and manages ‘Kings Ransom’ a highly specified and MCA Coded Prestige 46 flybridge motor yacht built in 2003. The LLP is seeking to transfer the business, vessel, website and goodwill to a new owner or owners together with a minimum guarantee of £10,000 charter income for the 2010 season.
Prestige Yacht Charter LLP is registered at Companies House (ref OC 324769) and was formed following the transfer of ‘Kings Ransom’ from Solent Yacht Charter in 2007. The LLP is VAT registered and thus enjoys the benefits of commercial fuel rates for charter purposes, currently @ 48 - 54 pence per litre. All VAT is recoverable (including that which applies to commercial ‘red’ diesel) making the charter business a very affordable way of powerboating for both clientele and owner skippers.
The two present owners of the LLP are both commercially endorsed RYA Yachtmaster skippers and Kings Ransom has only been skippered by its owners and thus carefully looked after. Interested purchasers requiring assistance in reaching commercial Yachtmaster standard will be given guidance and tuition by arrangement and the present owners will be available to skipper the vessel if required by the new owners.
Operating a modern flybridge motor yacht as a commercial business is ideally suited to those seeking powerboating on a budget. Kings Ransom has earned over £120,000 in charter income and annual income can be expected to cover all static and standing charges, maintenance, berthing costs and fuel etc.
