A little about your Skipper – Steve has completed over 62,500 miles at sea on yachts and powerboats
over the last 25 years sailing in the following sea areas: North Sea, Scotland, English Channel, Caribbean,
Solent, West Country, Bay of Biscay, Balearics, Southern France, Portugal, Corsica, Sardinia, Tunisia and Greece.
Previously he was a technology teacher and senior manager in residential special education for 22 years
before concentrating on a new career in sailing. Since then he has set up and run Solent Yacht Charter
for 18 years and Prestige Yacht Charter for 8 years. When not on the sea he takes to the skies. He holds a private
pilot’s license and currently owns a Cessna 182T and has flown over 40,000 miles.
Mary’s interests lie with all things green, plants and gardens etc. She owned and ran a garden centre for 31 years
before finding an interest in the sea. She has over 3,000 miles at sea, enjoying many idyllic
anchorages and passages in the warmer climes.
